Queen Street - The Loft | Bath Apartments
If you are looking for additional space and luxury, this stylish, “lofty” affair is the answer. Furnished in our signature style, this bright and beautiful pad has bold wallpapers and quirky unexpected touches galore.
Loft central is located on Queens Street right next door to the hotel; there's a STEEP stairwell so we definitely don't recommend this for the hard of walking or for young children (12 years and over please) - Harry's Townhouse (sleeps 10) or the City Pad (sleeps 3) will be much more your cup of tea.
Highly sociable, the living area is open-plan, combining a fully-fitted high spec kitchen, super-comfy lounge and dining area. Sleeping up to 5 people, Loft Central has 2 bedrooms, each with king-size or twin beds. The Master Bedroom is extra spacious allowing for a super-comfy sofa bed too.
This multi-talented room is ideal for relaxing or socialising after a busy day in Bath. With windows on two walls, and high ceiling beams (just like a New York loft apartment), it's a delight to come home to.
A top-spec kitchen has all the features you would expect (see below) as well as some natty extras including an espresso machine. Take our word for it; even cooking won't feel like a chore here, so be sure to buy some local delights whilst you're out and about.
This adaptable bedroom offers you the option of twin beds or a king size double. Super-spacious, it also has a single sofa bed (please note that this can't be moved), a dressing table, oodles of storage space, a Smart TV and a DAB radio.
This bedroom offers the perfect blend of cosiness and flexibility; despite being smaller than the Master, there's still space for either a kingsize bed, or two singles. Also kitted out with the obligatory Smart TV, this room offers a lovely retreat away from the hubbub of the city.
Furnished in high gloss white and deep purple, the bathroom has a bath with a power shower, and a toasty electric towel rail. Harington’s Hotel toiletries are supplied, as are fluffy white towels .

I have been staying at this hotel for years. Every time I go to Bath I stay in this lovely retreat. I have been lucky enough to stay in the hotel, their townhouse and their two apartments, all of which are clean, modern and decorated to a high standard with a contemporary feel.
The hotel is located in a perfect central location, just a few minutes walk away from attractions like the Roman Baths and Thermae Bath Spa. There are numerous restaurants pubs etc in the vicinity as well. Parking is available in a carpark nearby( 2 minute walk) at £11 per day, you have to book this in advance as spaces are limited and you will require a permit which the hotel provides.
On this occasion I visited for my birthday and stayed in the fabulous loft apartment. The Loft is a large contemporary two bedroom apartment, with a fully equipped kitchen/ diner and everything that you would require for your stay. If it is not there ask- the staff are very accommodating. The king size beds are comfy, and you feel at home as soon as you walk in. Both bedrooms have TV's and the master bedroom has a digital radio and additional sofa bed. You do have to go up some steep stairs to access the apartment, so if you have walking difficulties then this is not the place for you. Breakfast is included in the rate, which you have at the hotel, a few metres away. The lounge is beautiful, light and airy with wooden ceiling beams, the sofas are comfy and there is a huge TV and DVD player. A selection of dvd's are available to view from the hotel at no extra charge.
The hot and continental breakfast is very good and they accept requests with no hesitancy.
You can have a private hot tub session, which I have not tried yet.... Maybe next time.
I have to commend all the staff and the management team, for their amazing hospitality. On this occasion, my partner was hospitalised just after we checked in and had to remain in there for 5 days, which meant that I was on my own, away from home on my birthday, trying to juggle numerous tasks. Everyone was extremely helpful and did everything that they could to alleviate the stress that I was under. Special thanks to Eve, James, Rosie and Laura. If I have forgotten anyone, do forgive me.
If you want a hearty breakfast, excellent hospitality in a good location, then try the Harrington Hotel and do try the apartments. Very reasonably priced. Will I return? As always YES!!!!!!
“I just got back from a weekend with the girls in the loft apartment. It's even better in reality than it looks online. Beautifully designed and perfect location. We had such a great stay. The staff were all really friendly and helpful too. We will definitely be back!”
Just had a 2 day break at Loft Central and had a great stay. Apartment was clean well presented and well equipped. Kitchen well equipped if you want to self cater but wealth of fab eateries within very close proximity. 2 minute walk to main shopping area and tourist attractions all easy walking - and I mean easy!
Beds very comfortable and bedrooms cosy.
Only things I'd flag up are the stairs are a bit of a challenge if you aren't really quite fit. We were warned about stairs but the first of two sets are particularly long and steep with shallow steps so be warned. Also city centre apartment so remember you get city centre noises - people having fun can be a bit loud!
That said we would stay again in a heart beat. Location is just awesome and parking being sorted makes it easy. Remember to book parking - 5 minute walk to car park from apartment.
On check in staff helpful & informative. Room cleaned each day and bedding & towels changed.
The Harrington's City Hotel & Apartments is a boutique hotel in the heart of Bath. It's within walking distance of the Roman Baths, Thermae Spa, the Bath Abbey, great restaurants and the wonderful shopping in the town center. We visited Bath during the Christmas season and the town was absolutely beautiful with all of the Christmas lights and beautiful decorations. Since this was a family trip, we booked the upstairs loft apartment at Harrington's City Hotel. The apartment was recently renovated and tastefully done. The kitchen was immaculate and well equipped. The living room area was spacious and each bedroom had comfortable beds. The stairs to the apartment were steep and were a slight challenge with heavy luggage. This particular apartment would not be appropriate for individuals with physical disabilities or the elderly. Overall, I would absolutely recommend the Harrington's City Hotel & Apartments when visiting Bath.
Super boutique style hotel.
I had a free upgrade to the loft apartment which was decorated to a modern high standard. Clean rooms and comfortable beds . Quality fixtures and fittings with a lot of thought put into the styling of all the rooms.
We pre-booked the breakfast and this was above average. Made a nice change to have the order taken and served at the table.
There was a buffet continental breakfast as well which looked just as nice but after the hot breakfast we had chosen I didn't have any room left.
If I returned to bath I would definitely stay here again.
Room was very comfortable and the location was great - we received an upgrade to the loft apartment which was spacious . The breakfast was delicious with several choices. I would choose this hotel on a return visit.
This was our 2nd stop of our honeymoon and had been recommended to me by a friend. A few days prior to the stay they contacted us and offered an upgrade which was great! When we arrived we went to the main hotel and were met by a really friendly receptionist. As our room wasn't ready she advised to leave our bags and explained where to park.
After an afternoon at the Roman Baths we returned and were shown to our 'Loft House' apartment where our bags had been taken. We were more than impressed. A few doors away from the hotel that is located on a quaint cobbled street adjacent to the the famous Raven pub and a lovely Gin bar. A lovely bottle of fizz awaited us which was greatly received also.
There are alot of steep stairs leading up to the loft but the climb is worth it. Very comfortable spacious apartment.
Our only regret is that we only stayed for 1 night. However we both agreed that we would return for a long weekend.
Breakfast was ok, which we had in the main restaurant. I have had better but it wasn't terrible. I had pancakes and syrup that came with frozen fruit. Fresh berries and more of them would have been more enjoyable. My husband had scrambled eggs and salmon and had no complaints.
Parking cost me £22 with a hotel permit so be aware of that as an extra cost that is not included in the cost of your room.
Would recommend. In a fantastic location and in the centre of bath everything is in walking distance. Can't wait to return.
Everyone at Harington's was exceptionally welcoming and helpful during our stay. We stayed in the Loft apartment which was spacious and comfortable. And they provided us with 2 bottles of wine as a welcome gift which was a lively surprise. We ate breakfast at the hotel every day of our stay as it was delicious and a good value. Great central location in Bath. Would definitely stay here on our next visit!
Stayed at this spacious city loft apartment associated with Harington Hotel, just down the road. But note those with an aversion to steep stairs, this will not be for you, but the clue's in the name. Two good bedrooms with comfortable beds, a clean and tidy bathroom with shower over bath. And airy and spacious open plan kitchen, diner with a raised lounge area. Good kitchen facilities, including Nespresso Coffee machine for those into good capsule coffee. TV and Video player, Has Iron, etc if you want to be neat and tidy. Comfortable settees. Opposite the Gin Bar for those requiring immediate relief, and above a great breakfast spot if you don't want to cook in the well appointed Kitchen with Dishwasher. Parking (at a reasonable fee per day/night) is available 5 mins walk away, but Hotel happy to store bags whilst you go an get your vehicle to load up on check out, Meals available at the hotel if you'd like to be spoilt.
My friend and I stayed 1 night in Harrington's Loft apartment, honestly we wished we could have stayed another night. The place is beautiful and comfortable with everything you could need in the kitchen too (and very conveniently located across the street from a gin bar! well worth a drink at!) it's incredible central, no where was more than a 5 min walk. Staff were very helpful
Rented the City Loft apartment for our family of four. Very steep stairs - that is well described on the website but if you are not fit, choose a different room. Very spacious 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment with a fully equipt kitchen, washer and free tea, coffee and wine.
Staff is super friendly and accommodating. Every request was warmly received and attended to. Some attention to detail is needed - on check in our soap and shampoo was very low and lotion was missing. Hadn't been replenished for a while. Our fireplace didn't work even a couple of days after we reported it. With 2 cold, rainy nights that would have been really nice. We struggled with how to use the shower - after 2 days the manager came over to show us. That was terrific - if someone would have offered earlier it would have avoided 2 mornings of cold showers!
The location can't be beat. Very centrally located. One thing to note - the seagulls are very loud. With no AC, we had the windows open on the dry nights and they were noisy.
Took Mum to Bath for a few days for her birthday. Stayed at Loft Central and both loved it. Bright, friendly, funky style made it feel like a home from home. The large open kitchen/diner/lounge was especially impressive and loft-like - open to the eaves with beams and large windows on two walls letting in so much light. All felt fresh, clean and well cared for. We couldn't have asked for a better location, so central with shops/bars/restaurants and all the tourist attractions on hand. Yet it wasn't noisy in terms of rowdiness at pub/club turn-out time, which I have experienced in other cities when staying right at the heart of the action. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to enjoy self-catering when we were too tired after a day of sight-seeing to shuffle less than a minute up the road to eat out! Staff were really pleasant and friendly, even when we made the gaffe of trying to enter via the exterior door for suppliers to the kitchens, rather than using the main entrance to check-out. Every now and again I find a place which seems not just good but really excellent value for money, and this was one of those. We were cosy, comfortable and felt super-relaxed and on top of the world when we left Loft Central. Would definitely go back with girlfriends, other half, family members - suits all sorts of small groups. Only possible less than fabulous factor was the two sets of stairs to access the suite, one pretty steep (no worry at all for either of us but not suited to the less mobile, so only fair to mention.) Thanks Haringtons for helping me give Mum the treat she really deserved.
We stayed in the Loft Central apartment for 2 nights - everything was perfect. The apartment was finished beautifully and was in a great location - easy walking distance to most places in Bath. We will be visiting again next year and recommending to everybody. Great experience!
We stayed at the loft apartment and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The appt was really well equipped & extremely comfortable, with enough hot water for 4 of us to shower one after the other! It is opposite a gin bar, and the noise from this can relatively loud at turning out-time, but don't worry.....you can't hear it in the bedrooms. A lovely surprise on entering the loft appt were two bottles of wine, courtesy of the hotel, a fantastic touch! I would definitely rent this appt again, it is so central, parking is off site and at £11/day relatively expensive, so I would probably catch the train on my next visit. Overall a super stay in beautiful accommodation.
We had a fabulous time staying at Harington's hotel. The hotel is in a very central location in Bath, but the rooms are quiet. The hotel is decorated in a quirky style and the staff are very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast is bountiful and good quality.
After an initial problem with booking through an on-line agent the hotel rectified the situation straight away. We were even upgraded to the loft apartment. I had mentioned in passing that it was my husband's birthday and we found a cupcake in the apartment on arrival.
All-in-all a really good experience and we shall be recommending Harington's to friends and family.
Had an amazing short stay in the Loft Central Apartment whilst visiting the University with my daughter. Great central location ideal for exploring the city. Beautifully decorated and equipped making for a comfortable, convenient and relaxing stay.
My girlfriend and I went for two nights and on the day of arrival we had a free upgrade to the loft apartment. It was an amazing room, self-catered with a huge living room-dining room and two bedrooms. The beds were very comfortable, and the location was amazing for venturing into town to do shopping and eating out. Made us both fall in love with Bath, you have got to stay here for a true value for money and key to unlocking the potential of the city!
A two night stay in the loft apartment was brilliant. We were warmly welcomed by great staff, one of whom had only worked at Haringtons for a month but was so enthusiastic an proud to be part of the team. Accommodation was fabulous, it is two flights of stairs but worth the effort. Complimentary wine added to the attention to detail that made our stay a one we'll repeat. Thanks so much
I just got back from a weekend with the girls in the Harington Hotel's loft apartment. It's even better in reality than it looks online. Beautifully designed and perfect location. We had such a great stay. The staff were all really friendly and helpful too. We will definitely be back!
This centrally located hotel has two self catering apartments which make a great stay if you are travelling in a group.
The apartment is modern, has all the amenities needed and is very close to central Bath with everything being within walking distance.
This is definitely the way to stay if you are looking for more than the standard hotel room.
My wife and I came to Harington`s and was pleasantly surprised at our apartment which was the loft central apartment. Located a few doors down is the hotel reception and also the Jacuzzi which we hired out for an hour. This apartment was very spacious with great facilities and was very cosy. Very accessible to restaurants and attractions as is pretty much on the doorstep of central bath. Only stayed for one night tho...wishing we stayed for two!!! Damn it!!!
We stayed in the loft apartment at Harington's hotel (after a free upgrade from the city pad apartment!). The apartment was lovely. We were only there one night, so didn't spend much time there, but the spacious lounge/kitchen area would make it perfect for a couple of nights in, on a longer trip. It was also incredibly central - we visited four eating and drinking establishments within about twenty metres of our front door! Despite this, the road is relatively quiet, so we weren't disturbed.
Also great is the Big Ben Bath discount card - you can get various offers at attractions and eateries around Bath (we all got a free glass of wine with dinner). Make sure you have it, as initially it wasn't included on our keys and we had to ask for it.
We have stayed in Bath during December for the past 11 years. Before we had our daughter hotels were our venue of choice but with a small child an apartment is much more relaxing. Having stayed in a wonderful apartment last year we were very anxious about having to go somewhere else (the other apartment was fully booked). As it turns out we have, in fact, booked a gem of a place that will now become our location of choice for years to come. We spent 3 nights in the Loft Central Apartment which is fabulous. It looks amazing and caters for every need. It is warm, luxurious and comfortable. We commented how we would quite happily live there! The location is fantastic. Quite literally a stone's throw from lovely Bath. A short stroll through the buzz of the town, past the twinkling Christmas lights of Milsom Street and we were home. A little slice of heaven.
As an extra benefit you have the support of the hotel and its amenities. The staff helped us get our luggage up to the apartment (very much appreciated!) and we also sampled breakfast in the hotel. Delicious freshly squeezed orange juice and perfect poached eggs. We were genuinely sad to leave!
I stayed at the Loft Apartment with a friend for three nights, a treat for her 60th birthday. It is very comfortable and tastefully decorated with every amenity, extremely quiet and excellent central location. The service was impressive: help carrying baggage, booking taxis, providing information, all dealt with in a friendly and easy manner. We were able to visit all the places we planned to see in Bath on foot and were never too far away to return with shopping or to rest. The choice, variety and quality of breakfast was unmatchable with local produce used. I long to return and envisage doing so regularly in the years ahead, having discovered this gem!
