“The City Pad apartment is very comfortable and well-appointed and brilliantly located in the heart of Bath meaning we were able to walk everywhere. All the staff were friendly, charming and helpful dealing with all our requests swiftly and efficiently. It is the second time we've stayed returning precisely because we had such a good experience a few years ago. Lovely to find it is still maintaining its high standards!”
This is an excellent hotel located in the centre of Bath, well within walking distance of all amenities Shops Pubs and lovely restaurants, The City Pad apartment is clean and nicely decorated with a big double room and a kitchen giving you the freedom of eating out or if you wish at home,I class this little palace as a home from home, Lovely friendly staff and the beatiful city of Bath what more could you want.
Perfect time for our little stay in Bath! We stayed in the City Pad apartment which was fantastic, very spacious and full of character. Breakfast in the hotel was absolutely delicious and the staff were very attentive and friendly.
Situated right in the centre of the city which is fantastic as you can easily walk to the Roman Baths/ Thermae spa etc. This was our first stay in Bath and I can guarantee we will be back soon to stay in the same place, as we loved it!
Both check in/out was easy and they even held our luggage for us after check out so that we could do a little more shopping!
We stayed at the City Pad apartment and couldn't have been happier. The apartment is round the corner from the hotel (15 seconds walk) and up a few flights of communal stairs. There's no lift but we managed it even with a pram (it may be harder for people with walking difficulties). We were well aware of this before booking.
The City Pad is very spacious for a place in the middle of Bath and everything was of the highest standard. The location is also perfect as nothing is more than a 10 minute walk away. There's plenty of lovely restaurants and shops within a 1 minute walk of the apartment also.
We travelled with our daughter (less than a year) and the hotel provided a cot for her.
If you choose the City Pad apartment you would be making the right choice.
Also, book parking before going (it's about a 5 minute walk from the accommodation) but worth it for Bath!
The staff were excellent and if problems arose they would fix them hastily. The city pad itself is amazing and the location in Bath is perfect for anyone's needs. The kitchen for self catering was perfect for all our needs and whenever we wanted takeout, we could go out at anytime to get anything we wanted.
Had a great time in Bath and it was great to have a lovely central hotel. We stayed in the City Pad and we LOVED the Nespresso machine! It was nice that they could also provide a parking permit for the local car park. The breakfast was lovely too and set us up for the day.
This is an excellent property which I would not hasten to recommend to anyone visiting Bath looking for a convenient and comfortable place to stay. The location is pretty unbeatable - we were within a few minutes walk of the main city centre shops and restaurants and within a ten minute walk of a great number of Bath's major tourist attractions including Royal Crescent, the Jane Austen Centre and the Roman Baths. The apartment itself is so comfortable - we wish it was our full time property! It felt like home very quickly and had plenty of home comforts including a selection of books, a set of straighteners and, most crucially of all, plentiful tea and coffee! Finally, all the staff we met along the way were so helpful and friendly, they all contributed to a wonderful stay. We hope to be back to stay again at the City Pad in the near future!
City Pad was wonderful, roomy and in an excellent location. Kitchen was well equipped and we even had a washing machine. Staff were very friendly. Quite a few steps so pack light or ask for help.breakfast was yummy and plentiful.
We stayed in the city pad apartment. Staff were very welcoming and helpful, offering to store luggage for us and take it to our room. Location is perfect, a very short walk from shops, baths, restaurant, and parks, yet still a quiet quirky Street. Apartment is modern and recently furnished - it even had an expresso machine free to use and docking station. Bed comfy, everything clean, just very impressed overall. One thing was that we couldn't work the air conditioning but if we were that bothered we would have asked. Would definitely visit again and recommend!
I stayed in Bath for a few nights with my youngest daughter and used Harington's City Pad (one of their self catering apartments) as our base. The apartment is very comfortable and well appointed and brilliantly located in the heart of Bath meaning we were able to walk everywhere. You can still use all the facilities of the Hotel and we ate breakfast in the Hotel a few times. All the staff were friendly, charming and helpful dealing with all our requests swiftly and efficiently. It is the second time we've stayed returning precisely because we had such a good experience a few years ago. Lovely to find it is still maintaining it's high standards!
We chose to stay here as part of our silver wedding anniversary celebrations and couldn't have made a better choice ! The staff are sooo friendly and helpful and genuinely seem to enjoy working here which is always a good sign ! We arrived slightly early so our apartment wasn't quite ready so we had a drink in the bar while watching the world go by and we were very touched to be informed that these drinks were ' on the house ' .. I'd only mentioned our anniversary in passing so was amazed that they had made a note of it ! The city pad was just lovely although up a few flights of stairs but well worth the climb ! We are definitely going to stay again and would recommend it for anyone planning a visit to Bath !
This home from home accommodation is perfectly situated in the centre of Bath. However, there are two flights of stairs to the apartment - fine if you're fit! Loved it here and would definitely come again. Especially enjoyed the space to relax with all mod cons.
Despite the slightly run down appearance of the entrance hall and stairs the actual City Pad Apartment is lovely. Location wise it's right in the centre and gives access to the pubs, restaurants and attractions. It's also only a short walk from the train station. The main hotel is only a few metres away.
The pad was nicely furnished with a modern kitchen, complete with washing machine, oven, fridge and microwave. The bathroom had also been brought nicely up to date. A nice touch was the Nespresso machine with a selection of complimentary capsules.
Being on the 2nd floor we thought we'd hear more noise, as we stayed over the weekend, but we hardly hard anything.
We had a lovely stay and would highly recommend to anyone that would like a quiet stay in the middle of Bath. One thing to note is that there are several flights of stairs to the apartment and no lift so anyone with walking issues may want to think carefully before booking.
We really looked forward to our visit to Bath, and had a wonderful time in this beautiful city.
My husband and I, along with our 14yr old son, stayed 2 nights in the City Pad Apartment. The apartment was around the corner from the hotel. The apartment was lovely; bedroom lounge, kitchen & bathroom, and very, very clean.
Our stay was between Christmas & New Year, and it was nice to have a few Christmas decorations adding to the already lovely decor.
Reception staff were pleasant and were able to hold our bags until our room was ready. The location was wonderful and we were able to walk to all the sights and sample restaurants and cafes.
Originally booked a double, to find we were upgraded to B&B in the City Pad apartment at no extra cost. Coincidentally, we'd wanted to stay there but had found it booked. The suite was clean, and a lovely place to stay for a night out in Bath. For a Sunday night, it was great value too.
Stayed at the City Pad apartment. The location is brilliant-- well positioned (walking distance) for any part of Bath you might want to visit. The apartment itself is light, well designed and recently updated. Very comfortable bed, excellent wifi, and everything you might need in the kitchen.
My husband and I were in Bath for 3 nights and opted to stay in the City Pad Apartment at Harington's Hotel. What a great decision! The apartment is around the corner from the hotel which makes it very easy for check-in/out and getting in touch with the staff. The bedroom and living room are very comfortable plus they are decorated so nicely! The bathroom and kitchen are both updated. Amenities include wifi, hair dryer, hair straightener, iron/ironing board, clothes washer (no dryer), electric kettle and espresso machine with complementary tea, instant coffee, and nespresso pods. Just note that since it isn't a hotel room things like shampoo aren't provided.
Friends of ours stayed in the Loft Central apartment and also raved about it.
The location worked very well for us, it felt as though it wasn't more than 15 minutes from anywhere we wanted to go. Thank you, Harington's!
We stayed in the City Pad apartment for 4 nights. Couldn't have been better located - everything was right on our doorstep yet there was no problem with noise at night. The apartment was very comfortable and well equipped, we even had a Nespresso coffee machine! The main bed was very comfortable, the sofa bed not quite as good. The only other minor fault is that the pillows weren't.great. We only took the Continental breakfasts, which were were fairly standard but with a good assortment of fresh fruit, and the cooked breakfasts looked very good indeed. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We plan to return to Bath next year and will definitely stay in Harinton's again!
We stayed in the city pad apartment. Accommodation was clean and tidy and had recently been refurbished. Lots of space for 2 people. Very friendly staff and parking not too far away. Would definitely stay again!
We stayed for 2 nights in the City Pad apartment close to the hotel. It was stylish, spacious and very well equipped. Note though that it is up 2 flights of stairs. Hotel reception and breakfast very good. This is an excellent place to stay if you want to be right in the centre. Parking was available at extra charge fairly close by.
Haringtons Hotel in the middle of Bath. What a refreshing find. From start to finish the Staff were the best mix of professionalism, knowledge, kindness and great service.
The City Pad was just right for two people, the Nespresso machine an added bonus. Well equipped if you wanted to stay in which we didn't as all around us was entertainment and food.
Overall a wonderful stay.
We rented the City Pad for five days at the beginning of April as we wanted somewhere central. And, it really is central - very close to all the shops and sites of interest - and everything is just a short walk away including Waitrose, Marks & Spencer etc.
I booked online, having previously enquired and received confirmation via e-mail. The apartment was exactly as described - clean, nicely decorated, comfortable and well-equipped.
Continental breakfast at the hotel was £7.50 and as the hotel is literally just around the corner (1 minute walk) this is a super benefit to take advantage of. Breakfast consists of a buffet - cereals, croissants, fresh fruit, fruit juice, tea/coffee and toast. There is the option of a full English if required (I think it was about £12.50), but unless you really wanted a cooked breakfast, we were pleasantly full after all that was on offer at the buffet.
We found the staff at the hotel very friendly and welcoming as well as efficient.
There is an option to book car parking (5 minutes walk away) which costs £11 per day. We found this very useful as we were keen go exploring the surrounding areas and when we returned we were guaranteed a parking spot rather than driving around at the end of the day desperately trying to find somewhere to leave the car.
TIPS: There is no lift in the apartment and, as it is on the second floor, it would not be suitable for anyone unable to climb the stairs. It is also a little bit noisy on a night as it is in the city centre. This is, however, to be expected and if complete silence is what you require, then perhaps somewhere in the countryside might be more suitable.
Haringtons is a small, boutique hotel in the centre of Bath. Rather than stay in the main hotel, we chose to stay in a small, self-catering apartment, owned by the hotel, just around the corner.
The apartment - or city pad - as they call it, sleeps two easily, three at a push. We were very impressed by the quality and finish of the apartment - it was well furnished and had everything we needed.
Free WiFi and a ready supply of coffee, tea, milk and fresh towels gave some of the comforts of a hotel experience to a self-catering location.
The apartment is located right in the centre of town - most of the major sites of Bath are within 5 minutes walk, as is a supermarket. Parking is available (charged extra) as reserved bays in a public car park about 5 minutes walk away - it's better to drop your bags off first, then park.
The only downside to this hotel is some noise. Building work was taking place in a nearby property, the work looked near to completion, so hopefully by the time we stay again, the problem will have vanished. Just be aware that Bath is a student city and you're in a downtown hotel - there will be the odd disturbance from the local pubs and bars. If this is likely to bother you, maybe a hotel further out would be better.
Would I go back - absolutely. I really liked the hotel, location and staff. The concept is good, the price is excellent and Bath itself if a great town. Don't miss this one!
