If you could pick your ideal pad to spend some quality time in Bath, what would it look and feel like? With bags of experience in both the hospitality world and as travellers ourselves, we wanted to create something that was just right for stays in the city. Bath hideaways that combine thoughtful, practical features with style and a sense of fun.
Besides ideal central locations just footsteps from the best of Bath, Dream Stays is about complete peace of mind for the visitor. Every apartment has been carefully considered to provide everything you need, while anything else you might think of is a just a friendly call away. Being independent allows us to get the little details just right, we believe, offering something wholly more personal and well thought out for the visitor.
Dream Stays Bath is independently run by husband and wife team Melissa and Peter. With a passion for travel and many years of experience in hospitality, we have made it our mission to create and manage some of the brightest and best places to stay in Bath. Locations of comfort and character where you feel right at home while being mere footsteps from all the brilliant things that make the city tick!
Following the great success of our award-winning Harington’s Hotel, we decided to expand with a selection of hand-picked self-catering lets in Bath. With over 12 years in the city, our ethos is unchanged: to provide visitors with a more thoughtful, fun and inviting stamp of Bath accommodation without compromise. Adding that personal touch which comes from owning and operating only our own properties, we are unique in Bath.
Never one to stand still, I dream up and design new concepts for the business. When not devoting my energies to the hospitality business, I can be found relaxing at the Thermae Spa or with a glass of cool prosecco at one of the city’s many pubs. What I love best about Bath is the buzz of the place and all the great things happening! It’s like a mini London in many ways and whenever I manage to find free time there is always something to enjoy, whether it’s a comedy gig or a trip to the theatre.
Hailing from County Kerry in Ireland, where Melissa and I met, the rain eventually became too much and my love of rugby drew me to Bath. Hospitality very much runs in the family; I can’t pretend it’s not hard work, but creating experiences our guests love is very rewarding and a lot of fun too. I follow all the clever ideas my wife has for the business to the letter, while in my free time I enjoy cross training and keeping fit. Healthy body, healthy mind as I always say.
Bath girl, I left but then came back again! I studied Business and Information Technology management at University, which led to me falling in love with the hospitality industry. When not getting things organised and keeping busy at Dream Stays, my other great passion is sport. I still enjoy playing the odd hockey game when possible! Other than that I am always running at million miles an hour and full of coffee beans.
Grown up in Bath, and still discovering new things every day! I studied Event Management at University and found my passion for hospitality. I love Bath, it is a cultured city with a lot of history to learn about. And after a full day of exploring and shopping you can sit down to a fantastic supper at one of Bath’s many independent restaurants. When I’m not working, I love running around with my little brothers while pretending to be superheroes and spending quality time with my friends and family.
I have been living in Bath for over 30 years, and working in hospitality even longer!!! Hospitality is my passion. When I’m not working at Dream Stays, you can find me looking after my grandkids, and I often enjoy cooking for the family and my friends, one hopes I will end up on Come dine with me or better still Master Chef!!!!
